"PORTUGUESE HEROES"
CONQUERING THE WORLD, ONE PIECE OF FURNITURE AT A TIME
What makes a hero is what makes them unique: their strength, their character, their story.
These are ours — and perhaps, one day, they may become yours.
What we create with our hands are pieces of furniture as unique and as Portuguese as the great national heroes.
That is why this collection carries its name.
A collection destined to conquer the world with its solid woods and ancestral fine-cabinetmaking techniques,
which make every piece of furniture unique — from the first sketch to the final finish.
The ultimate victory of craftsmanship over industry.
Let yourself be captivated by this collection.

VIRIATO
It is only natural that the first piece of furniture in our collection — a tribute to national heroes — bears the name of the first great Lusitanian hero.
This sideboard was hand-designed by the Atelier, and its unique colour palette, derived from an exquisite combination of woods, allows it to lead this tribute to Portuguese fine cabinetmaking with distinction.
Our first-born piece was prepared with time, dedication and care, and is now ready to accompany many memorable moments. Come and discover it.

BEATRIZ
This is our tribute to the strength of women. Beatriz Ângelo was a doctor, a mother, and a remarkable woman — the first woman to vote in Portugal.
Because this woman did so much for so many, this is our tribute: a strong piece, made of solid beech wood, capable of supporting countless dinners and lunches with the charisma and strength of a table that is as beautiful as it is robust — and above all, unique.
Beatriz was designed and built here in our Atelier, using fine cabinetmaking techniques and our signature language of combining different woods. A versatile piece that can smoothly extend up to 3.60 meters, welcoming guests with dignity and elegance.
If it is true that one does not grow old at the table, then spend more time at the right one.

VIGA
When two visions come together, everything becomes possible. That is exactly how this collaboration between Atelier Encaixe and Superchi Studio came to life.
Viga may not be the name of a hero, but it is a name born from a unique story involving the beams of a building under demolition and the meeting of the best of two worlds: creativity and craftsmanship.
The Atelier provided the space and the knowledge to reinterpret the VIGA piece, and from that collaboration this special edition was created — with a distinctive touch of Encaixe.
The result? A lamp designed through the careful selection of individual woods, each different from the other, giving the piece a very distinctive identity.
An exclusive, handmade and numbered piece.
No two are alike.

POMBALINA
Building chairs is not easy. Any (good) fine cabinetmaking specialist can confirm that. Just as it was not easy to rebuild a destroyed city, nor to pioneer the fight for equal rights and the abolition of slavery. Sebastião José de Carvalho e Melo, better known as the Marquis of Pombal, knew this well.
This is our tribute to the Marquis, who sustained great achievements, and also our statement — as fine cabinetmakers and designers — that even the most demanding piece has its place in our Atelier.
The Pombalinas are also a contemporary reinterpretation of the work of Brazilian designer Sérgio Rodrigues, an undeniable reference of 1950s and 1960s modernism. We drew inspiration from the light, elegant, and structurally ingenious language of his chairs to create this piece, which combines traditional craftsmanship, modernity, and our own authorial perspective.
The backrest in contrasting woods and the natural cane seat echo that heritage, now renewed with its own identity.
